Greenhouse Schools Project (GSP) -2
- Progress and GSP have gone into partnership as of the 2008/9 season with Progress becoming the main exit route for former GSP kids.
- Naturally the project that GSP is running in many schools across London and Wales means that we will have a high volume of good quality players, these players will vary from project to project and will require different tournaments and training. Progress will be able to cater to these players better than the individual projects.
- From the community sports coach at Progress GSP will also have a wider base of kids being touched under the GSP name and these kids will mostly come from the surrounding Asian community.
- Socially the Club has a massive impact on every person that walks through the door as you have Internationals playing on a table next to a couple of kids straight from the street.
- The club also gives opportunities to players to mix with people from a different social, racial as well as age group networks, this is invaluable to the development of young kids as people and evidence shows this with GSP kids that have been involved with the club.
- Many GSP players are at different levels and require being in mixed teams maybe with internationals maybe with more experienced players that can help them develop their behaviour, concentration and understanding of others ect.
- With the club, being like a family, you very often get players of all ages and levels helping GSP kids in training and matches, with transport, equipment and most importantly their time!
